While molten metal may be reminescient of the science fiction Terminator series, it's unique material properties may soon be leveraged in the operating room. In its melted state it can snake through small ports and navigate to hard-to-reach places all while gently slipping past the anatomy. Then with the flip of a switch it can become solid again, with the capability to lift tissues and apply high forces to areas of interest.
