BioEnterics® LAP-BAND® System - Product Information

A Minimally Invasive Surgical Option for the Treatment of Severe Obesity
The BioEnterics® LAP-BAND® System is designed to induce weight loss in severely obese patients by limiting food consumption. The inflatable band forms a small gastric pouch and adjustable stoma.

Clinically Proven*
The BioEnterics® LAP-BAND® System is being used by leading surgeons around the world to treat patients suffering from life-threatening severe obesity.

Laparoscopic Placement
Using the BioEnterics® LAP-BAND® System to treat severe obesity is less invasive than other surgical procedures. The BioEnterics® LAP-BAND® System is designed to be placed laparoscopically. No cutting or stapling of the stomach is required. Please click here to see placement animation sequence.

Non-Surgical Adjustments
One of the significant advantages of the BioEnterics® LAP-BAND® System is that the stoma size can be adjusted post-operatively to individualize patient care without additional surgery. Please click here to see inflation animation sequence.
