Jon F. Edd, Ph.D. (Lab Director)
Jon Edd is an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2001 and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley in 2006. From 2006-2009 he conducted his postdoctoral studies in the Center for Engineering in Medicine and Mehmet Toner's BioMEMS Resource Center at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital under an NIH fellowhsip.
Todd P. Lagus (Graduate Student, Mechanical Engineering)
Todd Lagus received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Minnesota in 2006 and 2007, respectively. His Master's research investigated two-phase flow boiling in microchannel arrays for electronic cooling applications. From 2007-2010, he worked for an engineering consulting firm in the Twin Cities but began his PhD work at Vanderbilt in Fall 2010. Todd enjoys time with his wife Kate and son Erik, playing sports, and following his Minnesota Golden Gophers.
